New Fabrics!
We're back! We apologize for the long span between posts. It's been almost a month, which means lots of fun new things to talk about!
First, we have a winner in the Breast Cancer Quilt Drawing. Paula McCoy from Phoenix is the lucky recipient of the quilt this year. Congratulations Paula!
Second, we are having a sale this week. All Halloween fabrics are 25% through this Saturday, November 7th (1 yard minimum, no other sales apply).
Finally, we have in several new lines of fabric. These include the new Jo Morton collection, Toast II, Blessings by Jan Patek (includes wovens) and Wiscasset by Minnick and Simpson. We will also be receiving Astor Manor by 3 Sisters within the next week. All of the pictures for each of these collections can be viewed on our website, as can new classes being offered.
Thank you, as always, for reading!

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month
This week we received Simple Abundance by Bonnie and Camille for Moda. The fabrics are seen here in Miss Rosie's Picinic pattern. The quilt was made by Sue Maitre for the first Miss Rosie's Club project.
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. In honor of our customers who have and/or are battling breast cancer, we want to do our part. Last year, we started a tradition of giving a quilt made out of breast cancer related fabrics to one lucky customer. Last year, Maggie Nichols, who is a breast cancer survivor, won the quilt. For each $50 you spend, your name will be entered into a drawing to win the quilt. The drawing will take place November 2nd.
Until next time....

New Classes
We received the first of three quilts from Sue Maitre for the Jo Morton Club. It is beautiful! The quilt uses Jo's fabrics for a scrappy pieced look around an applique center.
The club will be on the second Saturday of the month beginning in November. Check out our website for more information.
We also received Mary Dyer's quilt "Redwork House on a Hill." Mary will be teaching this embroidery and pieced quilt in October. She will also be demonstrating various notions in October. I will have the information on the website soon!

Merry Reproduction Flannels
We want to thank all of you for your well-wishes on being chosen a Top Shop in the Quilt Sampler magazine. It has been such an exciting time for us! We still have copies of the magazine and kits for the "Family Affair" quilt available in The Shoppe.
Aside from the magazine, we also got in some new fabric collections. The Merry Mushroom collection from Windham fabrics is bright and whimsical and comes with a free quilt pattern designed by Erin Witt. We think it would make adorable children's clothes or aprons as well!

Staying true to form, we also got in a mixed collection of Bonnie Blue Basics and Judy Rothermel reproduction fabrics. They come in a variety of blues, red, beiges, purples and greens.
Seeing as it's 112 degrees outside, we also thought it was important to point out our new flannel wall. We have lots of new flannels and have put together several different rag quilt kits for you to make for your family and friends that live far, far away...or in Flagstaff.
We have a large selection of Christmas flannels, as well. They are also available in rag quilt kits.

It's Here!!!!
We are so excited! The Fall 2009 edition of Quilt Sampler magazine arrived at The Shoppe today. Come in and get your copy to see us on page 110! We also have kits available for our quilt "Family Affair" featured in the magazine.
Until next time...
New Fabrics This Week
We hope you all had a great weekend. Dee and Jordan spent Saturday night with my kids and me...having a Wii Bowling Tournament. I won't say who won BOTH tournaments...but I am THE Wii Bowling Champion! Yay!
We have gotten more Fall fabrics in this week. The following is Moda's September collection. The colors are beautiful and the fall leaves remind Joellen of being home in Washington state. We all want to go visit Washington state now!
Many of you have asked for some authentic Western fabrics. We finally found a wonderful collection called Buffalo Bill by Windham. There are authentic Western panels, lassos, sherrif''s stars, fringes and more. You can see the fabric in more detail on our website.
For those of you who are getting ready for Halloween, we also have a great kit using the Which Witch pattern by Crazy Old Ladies. The pattern also has a bonus pattern featuring elves' feet. The kit uses the Chic or Treat line by Moda...or use the pattern to create your own look.
We are getting excited for the release of the Fall issue of Quilt Sampler magazine where we will be featured as one of the Top 10 Shops. It will be out and available in the Shoppe on September 8th. Let us know if you want to reserve a copy or put a deposit down on the "Sister's Choice" quilt.
Until next time....
Today we put out the new Fall line "Gobble Gobble" by Sandy Gervais. It was really putting us into the Fall spirit with the rich colors of beige, green, red, orange and brown. We know, we know...it's 110 degrees outside...but they really are pretty. Many of our customers couldn't help but "gobble" it up. Okay, so that was Jordan's line.... We will be making kits out of some of Sandy's patterns, as well, and posting them soon.
Yesterday, Pam McMahon brought in a sample of the Carry All Tote that she designed. It is so cute! Dee cut some kits yesterday out of the Kansas Troubles, William Morris and Picnic Parade lines and we have those available. We cut out Jordan's face in the picture 1)because we didn't want to have to pay her a modeling fee...and 2) well, she just made me. It really is a great bag, though.

Our First Attempt at Blogging
So, Jordan and I are sitting here trying to figure out how to start out our new blog...and Dee, as usual, is off doing the "real work."
We set up this blog to keep you all updated on the happenings at The Shoppe. We will be including upcoming news and events, classes, fabric arrivals, etc...and any interesting gossip that might pique your interest. It will also give you an opportunity to give us some feedback.
Hopefully, you will also learn a little more about us...and feel like a part of our family.
Well, Dee said it's time to get back to work. So, until next time....
