A Quilt and A Class

Cheryl has completed the Paris in the Fall BOM sample and it is GORGEOUS! The pattern cover does not do it justice! Whitney will get it quilted soon and then we can hang it up for you all to see. The kits are available as a BOM or just a one time purchase.

We also have an update to the class schedule. Mary Dyer will be teaching the Over the River and Through the Woods quilt. This two part class will cover the embroidery technique used, the flying geese blocks and putting the whole quilt together. Check the class schedule on the website for more information. Whitney will have everything uploaded later today. We have Mary's sample hanging high in the shoppe so I couldn't get a picture of it, but here is a similar example.

Until next time...

Congratulations Cheryl!!

Our friend and teacher here at the Shoppe, Cheryl Miller, won a first place ribbon at the Arizona Quilter's Guild Quilt Show for her quilt 'Autumn's Bounty!'  She also won third place for a beautiful Kim Diehl quilt she worked VERY hard on! We are very proud of her!! Congratulations Cheryl : )

Just One Star

Moda and fabric designers, Laurie Minnick and Polly Simpson, have teamed up for the Just One Star challenge. The goal of this Quilts of Valor project is to make 100 quilts in 100 days. They need your help to make 1800 blocks! The deadline for sending in your block(s) is May 1, 2011, but if you bring yours into the Shoppe by March 31st, Cheryl Miller has offered to send your block(s) in along with hers. Until next time...

Bundles Galore

Alice and Lin have been busy the past few weeks putting together beautiful bundles of coordinating fabrics. Fat eighth bundles, eighth yard bundles, fat quarter bundles and 9" x 22" woven bundles are all great for making miniatures or for adding to your scrap basket!!
